**Update April 02 2010. SpRiNg has arrived..its such a nice time seeing the birds happy and chirping away. My bulbs are apprearing through now, my magnolia tree smells so delightful and sweet, the grass and trees are greening up everything is looking alive again...I'm excited because I got lots of new things done and working on Hares and Eggs and springy things I will be adding some old stuff. So please check the attic pages over the next few weeks no telling what you will find. Mike and I want to Thank You from the bottom of our hearts for another Wonderful year!...You're The VERY Best Customers/Friends we could ever ask for. We’ve been busy working on some new things for the site especially the holiday season and some for year around that have been added and will continue to be added all month and will be ready to ship right away! New For Spring! This sweet Garden Doll is so primitive I really enjoyed creating her. Shes approx. 18”. She is handmade by me but a Netty LaCroix design.
I’ve made her using Brown Homespun, Blue And Tan Ticking, or Blue Reproduction Calico. She’s very aged. She has a pinched nose, faint drawn eyes and mouth. I’ve added a cheese cloth apron and stuck in some of the herb savory. She’s been stuffed with straw for a old timey feel. Her arms and legs are from sticks. Her hair is made with heavy cotton aged string that has been stitched on. She will look nice hanging on a cupboard or propped on a shelf. Very limited and will come signed and dated by me. $31.95 plus shipping.

~New!"Fabric Hand Stitched Basket With Hare & 2 Eggs"~
New For Spring! I had so much fun making these Hares And Baskets!...They are handmade by me but a Netty LaCroix degisn. I hand stitched the baskets all by hand. The baskets are 7” tall by 9” wide (not counting the fold down flap or grass). They each have a lining of a coordinating color. I made them in Reproduction Blue Calico and Brown the Blue has a old blue grey nubby fabric, the brown has a brown ticking on the inside. They are stuffed stiff with prairie grass and I’ve added two painted cream eggs to the inside. I’ve stitched the hare and he aged and white washed with a patch nose and beaded black eye. Just so sweet and primitive. The Hare is 9” tall. and tied to the basket with old dirty string. This can be removed if you like. These will come signed and dated by me. Very limited.

NEW! Brown Madder Peahen And Dated Heart Sewing Pinkeeps. I love making these. The Peahen is a Barbara Stein design and the Sewing Pinkeep is a Shepards Creek design. The Penhen is gusseted and attached to an aged candlestick. I've added lots of rusty pins and trinkets to them. $45.00 plus shipping. The Sewing Pinkeeps I have done them in a brown print or a brown ticking. Each one has a different dates handstiched onto a very aged feedsack heart. Choose 1764,1724 or 1762~ dates. Inside they have two pockets to add sewing needs in if you like I handstitched these on and used old brown cordinating fabrics. Also added some aged flax, old buttons and a piece of brown coverlet to add your pins to. They have strips of fabric for tieing them closed on each side. Only four available $24.00 plus shipping.

New! “There’s A Little Pine Log Cabin” Hymnal Bird with A Fabric Nest. These sweet birds say spring! I made these one of a kind “Hymnal Gusseted Birds” with wonderful civil war reproduction fabric in blue. The fabric bird nest is made to coordinate with the gusset. The nest is stuffed with aged flax and the bird will sit nicely on the nest. The bird and nest are not attached so you can prop your bird in any direction you like. I’ve hand sewn the wing and tail on the hymn was from an old song book from the 1920’s. This hymn used was called “There’s A Little Pine Log Cabin”. The bird is 7” long. Overall bird on nest is 7” long by 5” tall. $21.95 set plus shipping. Sets of Fabric covered boxes also available in blue and brown. $12.95 a set. (only two sets available one in each color)
