Tombstone Sewing Shelf "Exclusive"
Mike made these wonderful Tombstone Sewing Shelves out of the old post masters house that was torn down across the street. It had this wonderful white trim that he rescued from around the top of the house. The house dated from the late 1800s and the wood is very aged with many imperfections. There were many stories about the post master here in this little town
so much history. We wanted to make something that no one else had done and so the Tombstone Sewing Shelf was born. There will be more of these in the future for you to purchase. You can add lots of tokens and things. I know shelves are usually for hanging but this one can be placed upside down and propped on a table. You can hang this one if you like or flip it around. It looks good both ways. Your shelf will come with a sprig of Rosemary, an old near black sewing bobbin that is ancient, a rusty thimble and a few surprises. Limited quantity. Needful Book/Document Holder "Exclusive"
Mike made these Holders and there is such Wonderful Detail to each of them. He put the wood through many processes to get the nice aged look but the overall color is a perfect blue not to light or dark but medium primitive color blue thats been aged, sanded, aged again. He has rounded and sanded all the corners, added slits in part of the wood with make-do fixes and added rusty wire and pieces of rusty metal that look like it is holding the piece together. This piece is very sturdy. They stand on their own and hold old cookbooks in the kitchen or old school readers, old documents or even a special picture. There is a carved out pencil holder at the bottom that is nailed with rusty nails. They will come with a reproduction deed of a home from the 1800s. Book Holder is 11 Tall, 14 Wide and 8-1/2 Deep. Early Folk Angels "Exclusive"
These are so sweet and such a nice size for all seasons. Ive attached the wing with hemp but it can be removed for year-long display. Each angel is stuffed with rags and sanded to look like theyve been around 100 years. Each Early Folk Angel has their own special look giving them their own personality. Ive made quite a few of them in case you would like to use them as ornaments on your tree for Valentines Day. They are a great tuck doll and look good propped around your old boxes, etc. The colors vary in blues, browns and tans and all are aged, sanded and worn. The wings are made using flannel and stuffed with rags and are kind of lumpy. The picture appears to be more white than they really are. She is sure to make you love her! They are limited to what I have made in colors. I will not be making anymore of these at this time. Early Folk Angel is 7-1/2 Tall. Price: $24.00 plus shipping.
Dark Brown Bird
This guy was so fun to make and another one very hard to part with. I wanted to do him a bit different. Hes VERY large and makes quite a statement in the center of your table with or without a wreath (wreath in picture is not included). He is very heavy and stuffed with rags. He has stitched-on wings, tail and antique button eyes. An extensive ageing process makes him look so real. He was first aged with a white wash, a walnut dye then black washed and hand-rubbed with cinnamon. Dark Brown Bird is 13 Long and 9 Tall. Price $45.00 plus shipping. Will come signed and dated by me. Mousie & Strawberry Emery Pinkeep Set
Not even a mouse was stirring
..Ive been working on these for quite some time and told myself I would not make anymore. Mousie is so tiny, hand-stitched with little ears and arms that hold his new found emery strawberry that he was so lucky to find. He also has an emery body and will sharpen those dull needles. Mousie is a little guy but is heavy for his size. He sits up just fine when propped with his strawberry. They can be separate and are not attached. He has little black beaded eyes, aged whiskers and a long stiffened tail that curls around him. Mousie is 3-1/2 Tall, Strawberry is 1-1/2 Tall. Price: $24.00 plus shipping.
